Domains are registered on my name?

Yes. Absolutely all domains are registered exclusively to customer, viz to the data entered at domain ordering.

I have changed NS (name-server) for my domain but I can't see the site

Changes to Name-Servers(NS) are entered and changed immediately, although domain-registries do not change them immediately, there is also a DNS-Cache of your ISP. Therefore NS changes might take up to 3 days (72 Hours).

I changed NS but nothing has happened after 3 days (72 Hrs)

Most probably you did not click "Submit order to change name-servers" button
In your control panel, in order to change Name-Servers, you need to follow these 2 steps:

1. First you need to set new NS for the domain you change data for
2. Then, submit your order to change name-servers

Which NS should be specified in my domain if I choose "Managed NS"?

If the domain name is served by NIC.UA service - you don't need to take any additional steps, the system will automatically insert the NS needed in your domain. If a domain name is registered through another registrar, you will need to order an additional service of "Managed Name-Servers" for the domain needed and then add the following list of NS:

• ns10.uadns.com
• ns11.uadns.com
• ns12.uadns.com

I ordered "Managed Name-Servers" service. How fast will the servers start working for me?

As soon as the order status changes to "Active", the service will start working. In other words, this means that the service is activated immediately.

How can I set my own NS (Name-servers) in the domain?

• Login with your user name and password
• Select "My orders - Domain Names Management" menu
• Fill checkboxes for the needed domain or many domains
• Click the "Change Name-Servers" button
• Choose server type of "my own list of NS"
• Enter server names and their IP addresses
• Click "Set for selected domains"
• If you see errors, you can, at your own risk, cancel the check of NS specified by you, by clicking a corresponding checkbox.
• For final confirmation you need to click "Send order to process name-servers" button

NS changes take from 1 minute to 24 hours depending on domain, for instance, in .biz.ua and .co.ua domains it takes 1 minute, in .com.ua - about 15 minutes, in eastern regional domains of Ukraine - up to 24 hours.

Where do I get financial documents?

Send us a message from the feedback form specifying:

• Name of organization and its details
• Date and method of payment
• List of the documents needed

Please note, that according to our service terms, we currently do not work with corporate persons. But we will satisfy your needs and supply all documents needed. The official date of corporate businesses service start will be announced later.

I ordered a transfer (domain transfer) to nic.ua but the order status changed from "in progress" to "closed", what does that mean?

Since all orders are processed automatically - this means that your current registrar has denied the domain transfer. You need to contact your current registrar and agree on domain transfer, then submit the transfer order again. As soon as your current registrar confirms domain transfer, your order status will change to "Active".

How long does it take to get domain registered?

All orders at NIC.UA are processed in real-time online, 24x7 without breaks or weekends. As soon as you settle the bill, orders start to process immediately. Registration term depends on corresponding registrar:

• .com.ua - 1 to 15 minutes
• .kiev.ua - 1 to 15 minutes
• .in.ua - 1 to 5 minutes
• .biz.ua - 1 to 3 minutes
• .co.ua - 1 to 3 minutes
• .co.ua - 1 to 3 minutes
• .dp.ua - 1 to 5 minutes
• .lviv.ua administrator processes domain orders only on working days manually, usually up to 24 hours.
• .dn.ua, .kh.ua, .lg.ua, .zp.ua - up to 10 days.
• .ua - 7 days if you have all the paperwork ready, maximum is 14 days. Orders are processed manually by our support center.
• .org.ua up to 7 days after order submit
• .ru - 1 to 5 minutes (orders temporarily not accepted)
• .pp.ua - 0 to 5 minutes

I have changed name servers (NS) but nothing happened

It can take from 1 minute to 10 days to update name-servers depending on the zone. From the moment when the status of your order indicates that NS have changed, you might not see the changes. This happens due to DNS responses are cached by ISPs, changes will come in effect in some time, usually changes are visible within 1 minutes to 72 hours, depending on your ISP. To check the status, you need to make sure that:

• you clicked "Submit order" button, if you did not, repeat the procedure and click "Submit order".
• See the domain order status. If the status says "NS changing in progress" - this means that the system is waiting for changes to come in effect.
• Check whether NS have changed can be performed through the public WHOIS database, you can do it on http://dig.ua

I changed DNS records, but nothing happened

Due to the fact that DNS responses are cached by ISPs, you will see changes only after some time, usually changes take 1 minute to 72 hours, depending on your ISP. A check can be performed by:

• Using DIG command for diagnostics of domain's data, dig command is available in *nix systems or at http://dig.ua
• Make sure that you have pressed "Save changes" button and that the correct IPs have been specified for your domain.

How can I use my domain on a free web-hosting

For all domains serviced by our name-servers a Redirect function is available(forwarding). With this function you can set up forwarding to your free hosting. Addresses of free hostings usually look like these:
http://site.freehosting.com
http://site.narod.ru
http://site.boom.ru
and so on.
If you wish your users to get to a free hosting when they type your domain, you need to specify the following records for the domain:
@ Redirect http://site.boom.ru
www Redirect http://site.boom.ru
in this case after typing your domain name, with or without www, users will get to http://site.boom.ru and the browser's address line will show http://site.boom.ru. If you use "Redirect with frame" type of forwarding - the users will not see the domain name of http://site.boom.ru , the browser's address line will display the domain that you have registered with us.

I have ordered a domain, but it was intercepted. How can I get my money back?

The money automatically gets returned to your personal account. To see the balance of your personal account, go to "My Balance" menu in your account.

I have hosting, how do I attach a domain to it?

In order to make your domain work with a hosting, it has to be set up. There are 2 basic ways of a domain set up:

1. Managed name-servers set up
   First, you need to make sure that your domain name is set up to work with managed name-servers. Go to "My orders" - "Name-servers set up" menu, select the needed server and enter the IP address and other data supplied by your hosting-provider. Usually you have to specify records of A and MX type, e.g. IP-addresses of a hosting-server and a mail-server.
   Please note: in DNS settings a "@" record - means the domain itself, "www" record is the www subdomain of your domain.
2. NS (name-servers) change on the servers of your hosting provider, if such service is provided.
   In order to do this, in your domain settings you need to set your hosting provider's name-servers (the servers supplied by your provider). Go to "my orders" - domain names management, select domain then click "change name servers" button and specify new servers that will be serving the domain.
   Please note: if you specify name servers that are not set up, your domain will stop functioning.

I bought a domain, where should I upload my files?

nic.ua service registers domains, but does not provide web-hosting service, thus you cannot upload your files. In order to be able to set up a website, you need to order a "web-hosting" service separately. Such service is provided by our partner: http://hosted.in.ua

I bought a domain, how do I set up e-mail?

nic.ua service registers domains, but does not provide email support. In order to have e-mail working, you can take any action listed below:

1. Buy a web-hosting package, for instance from our partner http://hosted.in.ua or another hosting-provider. Usually web-hosting package includes email support on your domain.
2. Get a free (can also be a paid service, if desired) mail for your domain from Google Apps Choose any solution required. The default base package is provided for free.

I paid for services 3 days ago, but nothing has changed

If in you account (My Balance - Bills pending) the invoice status is still set as "new", please, contact us and supply the following information:

• Number of invoice paid
• Date of payment
• Method of payment
  We will ask you for additional details if needed.

When will com/net/org

com/net/org domains registration is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2008.

When will .ru domain be available

ru domains registration is scheduled for the 2st quarter of 2010.

When will pp.ua domain be available

pp.ua domains registration is scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2009.

Is it true that name servers (NS) are provided for free?

Yes, for all domain names registered at nic.ua or transferred to us, name servers are provided for free. For domains registered and being serviced by other registrars this is a paid service, but it will automatically switch to free after you transfer your domain to us.

Why do you have such low prices? Does this affect quality?

Low costs are available because all of the processes are 100% automatic, e.g. without human interaction. We don't spend money on huge staff, thus the cost can be lower. The quality of our services is on the highest level since a computer makes fewer mistakes than human.

How to transfer a domain to you?

You need to use "Domain Transfer" menu Enter your domain, confirm that you wish to transfer a domain and follow the instructions. Warning! You need to inform your current registrar about your intention to transfer your domain to NIC.UA registrar (ua.drs, Service Online LLC) upfront, and depending on the domain - request an authorization code (auth-code) for domain transfer from your current registrar.

How to transfer a domain from you?

You can always initiate a transfer order from another registrar, as soon as we get the transfer request, it will be forwarded to your contact e-mail automatically. When you confirm the request, the transfer will be acknowledged and the domain will be transferred to another registrar. You need to confirm the transfer within 96 hours (4 days), otherwise an automatic reject will be sent.

Why is domain registered to e-mail @cunic.ua?

All NIC.UA domains are registered on client's data, although nic-handle is created based on data from cunic.ua system. Nic-handle is a record about a person (Full Name, address, telephone).

CUNIC - is the same database of nic-handles, as UANIC or EUNIC, although it is universal.

What are advantages and disadvantages of using CUNIC system?
Advantages:

• Automated processes
• Spam Protection
• Your e-mail is confidential
• Nic-handle management on nic.ua web-site
• Single nic-handle for all domains (Ukrainian and International)

Disadvantages:

• Impossible to change data directly on hostmaster.net.ua

How can I receive mail to e-mail @cunic.ua?

All mail from e-mail @cunic.ua created for you is redirected to your e-mail. To find out exactly which e-mail is used to send data - go to cunic.ua, in the "Nic-handle" field enter your e-mail @cunic.ua replacing "@" with "-" and removing ".ua". Your data will be displayed.

For instance, instead of xxx@cunic.ua enter "xxx-cunic". In the nearest future you will be able to set up forwarding and spam-blocking on this e-mail.

How to change e-mail @cunic.ua in my nic-handle?

We do not recommend to do so, but if you are sure that you want to do this, send a message to tech. support (you have to be logged in).

I opened your site at 0:00 but registration orders for org.ua are not accepted, why?

We do accept org.ua registration orders, but as soon as 21 orders are in que, new orders stop being accepted. After 21 orders have been processed, new orders can be accepted again. 21 orders are processed in 7 days - 3 domains per day. This limitation has been set by org.ua domain Administrator in order to avoid mass domain registrations.

I have registered my account with the wrong data, how can I change it?

If you supplied incorrect data, different Full Name or a nickname, you can change it by filling out the form and sending the original to us by regular mail. You can download the form here: letter-name.doc. "Signature/Full Name" and "Date" fileds must be filled out in writing, by hand. The data will be changed only after we have received the filled out original of the form along with copies of your documents that have to be provided with the form. This procedure has nothing in common with domain names administrative data changes.

I want to transfer my domain within nic.ua registrar, what do I have to do?

If you would like to to transfer the domain from one account to another login also registered with nic.ua registrar, you need to follow these steps:

• Current administrator has to login to his/her account then go to "My Orders - Domain Names Management" menu and receive the "Domain Code"(the domain code is provided in order details)
• Domain code (Auth Code) is then given to the new domain administrator
• The new domain administrator must go to "Domain Transfer" menu
  at https://nic.ua/eng/domain/transfer.html
• The new administrator must enter the domain name and the domain code in order to transfer the domain to the new administrators's account.

If you used managed NS with your domain and they have not transfered automatically, please contact the support.

Why am I not able to register .OD.UA if .ODESSA.UA domain is not free(and vice-versa)?

If you choose a free .OD.UA domain, but the same name in .ODESSA.UA domain has been taken, you will not be able to register the chozen domain!

The only exception is when you are the owner of the second domain. This means that if .od.ua is free, while the same name in .odessa.ua has been taken, od.ua can only be registered by the owner of the domain taken, by providing his/her (identical to odessa.ua) administrative contact in od.ua domain. I ordered free managed name servers for 3 months, what is going to happen after?

For the domains in service by nic.ua - the first 3 months are provided for free, later the order gets renewed every month, automatically and free of charge. If your domain becomes inactive or you transfer it to another registrar - the managed name servers service will have to be ordered on a paid basis, if needed.

For the domains that are not in service by nic.ua - the first 3 months of service are given for free, after which you need to renew the order according to your tarrif plan.
