DMARC adkim / aspf — the DMARC adkim= and aspf= tags that independently choose relaxed or strict identifier alignment for DKIM and SPF.
DMARC checks whether the domain in the visible From address aligns, under strict or relaxed rules, with a domain that passed SPF or DKIM. The policy is published in DNS, while the receiver retains the final message-handling decision.
DMARC adkim / aspf — the DMARC adkim= and aspf= tags that independently choose relaxed or strict identifier alignment for DKIM and SPF.
A message passes when SPF or DKIM succeeds and the authenticated domain aligns with the domain in From. SPF or DKIM success without alignment does not produce a DMARC pass.
First configure SPF and DKIM for every legitimate source, enable reporting, and correct alignment failures. Then move from monitoring toward enforcement. RFC 9989 removed the pct tag and introduced the t testing tag.
