Recently, Ukrainian web resources have been under various kinds of attacks. In this case, it is important to think about traffic distribution to protect your resources from DDoS attacks.

One of the services that provides such capabilities is CloudFlare.com. To register, go to the official CloudFlare website and click the "Sign Up" button:

  • Select the desired plan (start with the free plan) and click “Add a Site”;
  • Enter your email and a strong password;
  • Then click “Add a website or application”;
  • Enter your domain name and click “Continue”;
  • Among the offered tariffs, select “Free” (it will be located at the bottom above the “Continue” button).

Pick up a domain name you always dreamed of

After completing these steps, you will see the "DNS" → "Records" section, where a form for adding new records will appear. Add records in this section similar to those on the NIC.UA name servers (you can find the current DNS records in the "Name Servers (NS)" section in the order properties for your domain).

After adding records in the "DNS management for yourdomain.com" section, find the "Cloudflare Nameservers" section below. Copy from it the list of NS servers to be set in the domain according to the "How to set external name servers in a domain" instructions.

Your changes will take effect within 4–24 hours, when the ISPs’ DNS cache is updated.
