Most domains are registered without special conditions. However, some domain zones have limited registration rules. The .aero domains belong to this category. At NIC.UA, they can be registered manually. The registrant (owner) of a .aero domain must be a person involved in the civil aviation community or the aerospace industry. The .aero registry strictly regulates the list of eligible organizations, which you can review on the official registry page.

If your organization operates in the aerospace field and has documentary evidence of this, you are likely eligible to register a .aero domain.

  1. Register an Aero-ID for the person whose data will appear in the “Registrant” field on the .aero Registry Administrator page.
  2. Create a contact in the “Contacts” section of your NIC.UA account with the domain owner’s data so that the organization name in the Aero-ID matches the one in the contact.
  3. Contact us to register a .aero domain and provide the following information:
    • desired .aero domain name
    • email of your NIC.UA account
    • contact in XXXXXXX-NIC format from step (2)
    • your Aero-ID
  4. Pay the invoice we generate in your NIC.UA account. After payment, the domain will be automatically submitted for registration.
