How fast domains are registered?
All orders at NIC.UA are executed online, around the clock, without breaks or weekends. Once you pay the invoice, the orders are instantly processed. The speed of domain registration depends on the administrators of the respective domain zones and the specifics of registration.
International gTLD domains
In most cases, registration is instant if all data is entered correctly. For example, if your contact country is “Ukraine” but the postal code is for Cyprus, the registration will fail.
Ukrainian domains
All Ukrainian domains have switched to the EPP protocol, so their registration is instant. Exceptions include:
- The free PP.UA domain (requires manual activation);
- The .UA domain (trademark verification required).

Special cases
PP.UA domains require manual activation, so the speed of registration depends on how quickly you activate the domain.
For .UA domains, delays may be up to two weeks, as the administrator verifies whether your trademark image matches the domain name. Usually, verification takes 3–4 business days.
In rare cases, registration may be delayed up to 24 hours if the registry of the domain zone is temporarily unavailable or for other technical reasons.
