I added my own NS servers and they were saved in the wrong order
When setting up a domain, hosting providers or website builders usually provide a list of NS (name) servers — special servers responsible for linking your domain to the correct hosting or email service.
These NS servers contain information about which server your domain should load the website from or receive emails. For example, if you use NIC.UA or another hosting provider, they will give you their own NS records.
You can set the name servers of your chosen service in your domain settings — everything is explained step by step in our NS setup guide.
Pick up a domain name you always dreamed of
It’s common to see a situation where you were given a list of name servers in a specific order — for example
ns1.domain.com
, ns2.domain.com
, and ns3.domain.com
— but after saving them, you notice a different order such as
ns3.domain.com
, ns1.domain.com
, and ns2.domain.com
.
What does this mean, and should you worry?
Don’t worry 😊 — the order of NS servers has no impact on your website’s performance. All of them contain identical DNS information about your hosting, and they all correctly point your domain to the required server. Moreover, when domain data is queried, the information may be fetched from NS servers in a random order.
In short, the order in which NS servers are saved or entered does not matter at all — your domain will function perfectly regardless of that.
