By 2015, mobile and cloud technologies will become the preferred acquisition model for IT companies.

Russian experts are confident that new app development will become the most successful industry by 2015, citing mobile and cloud computing in particular. IBM conducted a study in Russia, the results of which showed that mobile app development will become a key focus area as early as 2011.

The study, which involved 650 respondents, predicts that mobile app sales will grow steadily over the next three years, with revenues expected to increase from $6.2 billion to $30 billion.

The study found that 91% of IT professionals surveyed consider cloud computing services to be the preferred model for organizations to acquire information technology.

90% say that to work effectively, you need to have skills in specific areas of vertical industries, while 63% lack industry knowledge to be competitive.

The study also found that, in addition to mobile and cloud computing, the areas with the greatest opportunities were social media and business analytics.
