Stage 4 of the .УКР priority registration process: company names are included.
During the new phase of priority registration for .УКР domains, which began on December 4, 2013, three new categories are eligible to register domains. We'll cover each of them and the documents required to register a domain during Phase 4 of the priority registration process.
1. Names of intellectual property objects registered in Ukraine, including names of famous works (films, songs, literary works, etc.).
For example, Tіні-forgotten-ancestors.ukr.
When registering under this category, you will be required to provide the number of your state certificate of registration of intellectual property in Ukraine. You may be asked to provide a copy of the certificate.
2. Full or abbreviated commercial (brand) names that are registered in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and entered into the Unified State Register.
For example, Dnepropetrovsk-pipe-plant.ukr.
To register, you will need to provide the number of your Ukrainian legal entity or sole proprietorship registration certificate (EDRPOU code). You may be asked to provide a copy of this certificate.
3. Names and surnames of famous individuals who have made significant contributions to world culture and other areas of public life, as well as individuals whose achievements are recognized by humanity and whose activities are directly related to Ukraine.
For example, Taras-Shevchenko.ukr, Ruslana-Lizhychko.ukr.
In this category, you can only obtain a domain that contains both the person's first and last name. It's also important that the person's contributions be specifically related to Ukraine.
If your application raises doubts, you may be asked to provide any materials supporting your achievements, such as publications, books, etc. In certain disputed cases, you may be asked to contact the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine or the Department for Information Society Development and Information Security of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to confirm whether you qualify for this category.
Please remember that all categories that were prioritized in the previous stages can still register .УКР domains. These are the owners of:
- trademarks;
- international names of pharmaceutical substances;
- goods of geographical origin;
- geographical names.
