92% of .РФ domains were renewed for a second year.

Speaking at the 4th International Conference of Administrators and Registrars of National Top-Level Domains of the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, representatives of the Coordination Center for the National Internet Domain (NTD) announced that more than 90% of domains in the Cyrillic .РФ domain zone will be renewed.

Previously, analysts believed the new domain extension would not be as popular, especially a year after the launch of free registration. However, the high renewal rate indicates that the .РФ domain is attractive to the market.

Currently, 92% of the 18,000 domains registered during the Sunrise Registration Period have been renewed. 1% of domains are currently locked due to their owners failing to renew, and 4% of domains have been deleted due to the expiration of their owners' renewal period.

In total, more than 890 thousand domain names are registered in the .РФ zone.
