The .ORG domain administrator is preparing to apply for the .NGO domain.
The administrator of the .ORG domain, Public Interest Registry, is preparing to apply for the .NGO top-level domain. The application will be submitted under the New gTLD program.
According to the Public Interest Registry, the .NGO domain will be intended for non-governmental organizations (non-government organizations), i.e., voluntary public associations of citizens based on shared interests and goals.
The Public Interest Registry believes that the .NGO domain will complement .ORG, allowing non-governmental organizations worldwide to expand their reach.
Victoria Harris, founder of Article 25, an international charity organization, also expressed interest in registering the .NGO domain.
