Al Gore has abandoned the fight for the .ECO domain.

Former US Vice President Al Gore has dropped out of the race for the new .ECO domain.

Two companies previously applied for the domain. The first was Dot Eco, an organization supported by Gor, and the second was Big Room, a company associated with Mikhail Gorbachev.

The .ECO domain is planned to be introduced in 2013. This domain will be intended for various environmental organizations.

Al Gore himself initiated the creation of the domain. The domain administrator will donate a quarter of the profits to environmental protection and charity.
