Analysts note a flood of spam with links to .РФ domain sites

Kaspersky Lab specialists have noted an increase in spam messages with links to websites in the .РФ domain. This link redirects users to a website with a similar name in the .RU domain. These spam emails advertise videos.

The emergence of such spam confirms the concerns of security experts that Cyrillic domain names will be most often used for advertising purposes.

Experts believe that the volume of this type of spam will increase in the future. Analysts are confident that fake websites will open offices in the .РФ domain zone, which will be used to send spam and advertise products and services.

It's worth noting that the name of the spam website used in the mailing was registered just before the first emails appeared, on November 17th. By November 18th, spammers were already using this domain in their emails.
