Apple has filed new patent claims against Samsung in Germany.

Apple is demanding a ban on sales of Samsung smartphones in Germany. The company claims that the Galaxy S Plus and Galaxy S II smartphones infringe Apple patents. Five other Samsung tablet models are also banned for the same reason.

This time, Apple filed lawsuits against Samsung's most popular smartphones. In the first five months alone, Samsung sold nearly 10 million Galaxy S II devices.

Apple's new lawsuits are a continuation of a long-running patent dispute between the companies that began in late April 2011.

In total, legal proceedings between the companies are being conducted in courts in more than 10 countries around the world, with the total number of claims exceeding 30.

Last fall, sales of Samsung devices were banned in Germany following a lawsuit from Apple, after which Samsung released a specially modified version of the tablet that did not infringe the patents.
