Apple accuses Mac accessory maker of patent infringement
Apple has filed a lawsuit against Sanho Corp, a company that produces accessories for Apple Mac computers and the company's mobile devices.
Apple accused Sanho of infringing six patents. The patents relate to Apple's MagSafe chargers and connectors for iPhones and iPads. Apple claims that these MagSafe chargers and connectors for iPhones have been around since 2006 and that their creation relied on six Apple patents, which Apple did not license to third parties.
The lawsuit against Sanho was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Apple is seeking to cease and desist from patent infringement and to compensate Apple for financial damages.
