Apple seeks a ban on sales of Motorola tablets in Europe

Following its success in banning the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet, Apple has made similar demands on Motorola regarding its Xoom internet tablet.

Apple representatives say the tablet infringes patents related to the Apple iPad and also copies its design.

Several months ago, Motorola accused Apple of infringing 18 of its patents in the iPad, iPhone, and Mac computers.

Last year, Apple requested a ban on the sale of Motorola devices in the US. Now, the company has made the same demand for European markets.

Market participants did not support Apple and stated that the company was artificially restraining competition in the market.
