Apple estimates losses from piracy

Apple has tallied its losses from piracy since the launch of its online software store, the App Store. Along with other companies selling iPhone and iPod touch software, the company has lost over $450 million due to copyright infringement.

Apple has repeatedly reported the large amount of pirated software for iPhones and iPods. The company loses between $60 million and $110 million quarterly on pirated software.
