Apple received 16 domains occupied by squatters.

Last week, Apple won a lawsuit against 16 domain names previously occupied by cybersquatters. These domains contained Apple brand names. The domains were previously occupied by Daniel Biyjan, a Los Angeles resident.

The man was also found guilty of seizing the domains of other major IT companies, including Microsoft, Sony, IBM and Panasonic.

The decision to transfer the domains was made by the arbitration panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization. This organization resolves disputes on behalf of ICANN.

The list of selected domains included, in particular, the following: MacBookPro.com, MacPro.us, BlueiPod.com, iPodAccessories.info.
