Australian authorities lost a dispute with Google.
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) has lost its court case against Google.
An Australian government agency filed a lawsuit against Google, alleging that the internet company deceives users and fails to distinguish between advertising links and regular search results. The commission sought $28,000 in compensation from Google.
Meanwhile, the judge dismissed the ACCC's claims and dismissed all charges.
This isn't Google's first accusation – in 2007, the company was sued after it was discovered that the car manufacturer was using a competitor's name in its advertising. Back then, Google and Trading Post were the defendants.
