The CUNIC database is officially registered in the IANA EPP repository.

The CUNIC database of the Service Online company, the administrator of the domain names CO.UA/BIZ.UA/PP.UA, is officially registered inIANA EPP Repositories(Internet Assigned Numbers Authority). The IANA organization registered the name "CUNIC" in the international registry for registering domains using the EPP protocol.

This means that the name of the EPP registry of the company "Service Online" is fixed and cannot be used by other domain name administrators in the world.

The CUNIC registry has been operating under the EPP protocol since March 2009 and services domain names for Ukraine's free .PP.UA domain. The registry also maintains contact information for registrants. This is necessary for identifying domain name owners, technical contacts, and billing information.

From July 1, 2010, the database will also begin processing applications via the EPP protocol in the CO.UA and BIZ.UA domain zones.

As a reminder, the private domain PP.UA was the first domain in Ukraine to operate on the modern EPP protocol from its inception. The CUNIC registry services the DRS.UA and PP.UA systems, which are used by over 60 Ukrainian registrars.
