Belarus will block websites from its blacklist.

Belarus is preparing to create "blacklists" of websites. These lists will protect residents from visiting websites with inappropriate content. These include websites containing extremist information, violence, and pornography.

Lists of "black sites" will be published on the website of the Telecommunications Inspectorate (BelGIE).

The public list, accessible to everyone, will only include banned websites in the .by domain zone. Closed lists, accessible only to providers, will contain banned foreign resources.

However, providers will only be able to access such a list after an official letter of request and presentation of a license.

The "blacklist" of websites will be compiled by the country's government agencies. However, the authorities emphasize that legal entities, entrepreneurs, and ordinary citizens can contribute to the compilation of such a list.

Websites on the "blacklist" must be blocked by government agencies, educational institutions, and cultural organizations. It is emphasized that blocking of such websites is not a default for private users.
