Free DNS hosting service EveryDNS.net sold to commercial DNS provider

EveryDNS.net, a free DNS hosting service, has been acquired by dyn.com, a commercial DNS provider. It is not yet known whether the service's previous free features will be available to existing users.

Previously, EveryDNS users could create up to 20 zones and up to 200 records from the A/AAAA, CNAME, MX, and NS lists. The paid DynDNS service only allows you to create 5 zones for free.

According to the terms of the deal, new user registrations on EveryDNS.net will soon cease.
