Bing is preparing a major update.

Microsoft's Bing search engine is steadily gaining user popularity. This is also due to the constant improvements to the service and the addition of new, unique features. The main goal pursued by the service's developers is to make the search better, more relevant, and the decisions that users make based on their Internet searches more informed.

Before launching these new features, the Bing team conducted research that showed that 42% of search sessions require refinement and repeat queries. Search sessions have become longer, despite users performing mundane tasks. To shorten search sessions, Bing introduced "Quick Tabs" on the left side of the search window. These tabs display search queries related to the original one. These tabs allow users to refine their search and get results faster.

The search engine's creators plan to improve real-time search, available on the www.bing.com/twitter page. The team's current primary goal is to streamline the search results on this page. As a result, users will see not only the flow of messages from Twitter and social media, but also the most popular links and topics being discussed.

Another popular search area is viewing information on maps. When searching online, users want to not only find the address they need but also see what part of the city or country it's in. Bing has released a new Map Apps app that simplifies map searches and exports data from Foursquare, creating a map with updated data in real time.

With the Map App, users can search the map and get route planning tips, which also highlight available Wi-Fi hotspots. Additionally, the Bing Maps interface now allows users to ask questions to local residents of the city or area they're searching for and get the information they need firsthand.

Bing is becoming an increasingly user-friendly intelligent assistant every day. Over the next few months, the Bing team will also be working on a new design, specifically a new arrangement of elements on search pages designed to reduce the number of clicks required to access the desired search results.

All of these features will gradually appear in the Bing search engine interface, making it more convenient for every Internet user.
