More than 100 applicants could fall victim to an ICANN registration system bug.

According to ICANN, more than 100 applicants for new top-level domains may have been affected by a glitch in the TAS application system. As a reminder, the application deadline for new top-level domains was marked by a glitch in the application system, which resulted in some applicants gaining access to the data of others.

Specifically, the names of application files became available to other users. These file names revealed the applicant's account name and, consequently, the name of the top-level domain for which the application was submitted.

ICANN notes that users affected by the TAS outage likely did not notice it, but ICANN will not risk resuming applications.
