Anti-pirate fighters used someone else's logo

French anti-piracy campaigners were caught infringing the copyright of their logo. After being alerted, the organization was forced to urgently change its logo, removing the previous one.

Hadopi is one of the most prominent organizations campaigning against software piracy. Its representatives lobbied for France's infamous anti-piracy law, which blocks internet access for copyright infringers.

The organization's logo was unveiled at a special ceremony, but it was later discovered that it illegally used a typeface designed by Jean-Francois Porchez. The copyright to this typeface belongs to the telecommunications company France Telecom.
