Individuals are interested in the .РФ domain.

Domain names in the Cyrillic domain zone .РФ are of interest not only to companies and organizations, but also to individuals.

Currently, Russia's largest domain registrar, RU-Center, has received over 75,000 preliminary domain requests. Initially, interest was expressed by legal entities, but now more and more individuals are submitting requests for the Cyrillic domain.

As a reminder, it was announced late last week that registration of names in the .РФ domain zone will begin on November 11. Only residents of the Russian Federation will be able to register the Cyrillic domain. Furthermore, the domain name administrator cannot be changed for one year after registration.

RU-Center representatives believe that approximately 5% of .РФ domain applications may be rejected.

During the priority registration of names in the .РФ zone, 18,375 domain names were registered, approximately 7,000 of which are already fully operational.
