The number of names in the .KZ domain has grown by a thousand.

According to the internet company PROFIT Online, 2,200 new domain name registration applications were submitted for the .KZ domain in December. This is 620 applications more than the previous year.

As of December 31, 2011, there were more than 66,000 domain names in the .KZ domain, which is 1,000 more than in November 2011.

The authors of the report note that interest in IDN domains remained at the same level in December: 73 such domains were registered in December, and 78 in November.
