The .COM domain is still more popular than .CO

Flippa analyzed the value of domains on the secondary domain name market and presented the results of its research.

For example, websites with the .CA (Canada) domain are more in demand and sell for a higher price than websites with the American .US domain.

The national domains .ME, .CO, .TV, .ME, .LY and .BZ are used as frequently as the gTLDs.

The .CO domain extension has not yet achieved the same popularity as .COM. The .COM domain is used 124% more often than .CO.

The study's authors also reported that the value of a domain drops sharply if it is longer than 10 characters; in addition, the use of punctuation marks in the domain also reduces its value.
