The .COM.DE domain should become an alternative to the most popular ccTLD

The Sunrise period for the .COM.DE domain ended on July 22, and the Landrush period is currently ongoing and will end on August 26.

Experts believe that the .COM.DE domain will become a viable alternative to the most popular regional domain, .DE, which has over 14.5 million registered names.

Registrars are encouraging potential registrants to consider this domain as an alternative to the .DE domain, offering the opportunity to "create a world-class domain and establish a presence in the most popular domain in the world."

The subdomain is maintained by CentralNic, which is also the administrator of the .EU.COM, UK.COM and .LA domains.

After the end of the Lanrush period, there will be a period specifically designed for .DE domain owners. During this period, all .DE domain owners will be able to obtain a similar domain in .COM.DE, provided that such domain was not registered during the Sunrise and Landrush periods.

Free registration for .COM.DE will begin on September 26th of this year.
