The .SU domain has received support for DNSSEC technology.
The Internet Technical Center announced that the .SU domain extension has been signed with a DNSSEC key. Using the DNSSEC protocol will improve the security of the domain extension.
The DNSSEC protocol ensures the integrity of the request from the user to the DNS node and the authenticity of the response from the node.
As of September 2011, more than 60 top-level domains use DNSSEC. Among them is the .COM domain, the largest domain on the internet, with over 90 million domains.
Next year, the Internet Technical Center plans to begin implementing the DNSSEC protocol in the national domains .рф and .ru.
