The .DE domain has surpassed the 15 million mark.

DENIC, the administrator of the .DE domain, announced that the domain has surpassed the 15 million registered names mark.

This makes .DE one of the largest national ccTLDs. The 14 million registered domain mark was reached on November 26, 2011.

Currently, one in six Germans owns a domain name. The average annual growth rate of new .DE domain names is approximately 1 million.
