Domain Dudu.com sold for a million

One of the largest domain deals of late 2011 was the purchase of Dudu.com. The domain name sold for $1 million at the secondary domain auction Sedo. The buyer was the Dubai-based social network DUDU.

The DUDU social network differs from traditional social projects in that it allows users to communicate with each other in their native language, and the DUDU service contains built-in translation technologies.

Until recently, the DUDU website was accessible at godudu.com. The company decided to purchase a shorter domain name, which, according to the social network's administration, would be easier to remember and type when using the mobile version of the service.
