The JailbreakMe.com domain will be owned by the creator of the Cydia store.
Jay Freeman, the creator of Cydia, has secured the JailbreakMe.com domain. This means the domain is now safe for anyone interested in phone unlocking software.
This domain previously belonged to the well-known hacker Comex, but in July the project changed hands, making it unsafe to use for unlocking iOS devices. Security experts noted that it's possible the new site was being used to distribute viruses.
The JailbreakMe.com domain now belongs to Jay Freeman, the creator of the alternative app store Cydia. As a reminder, it was revealed in early fall that Jay Freemanis suing over the domain cydia.com.
