.KZ Domain: Quiet May

In May of this year, according to the internet company PROFIT Online, 2,100 applications for domain name registration in the KZ zone were submitted to the Kazakh Network Information Center (KazNIC).

This is 148 applications less than in April 2011, and 665 more than a year earlier, in May 2010.

Furthermore, interest in IDN domains continues to decline: only 39 applications for such domains were submitted in May. As a reminder, in April, the .KZ domain zone sawwas filed77 applications for IDN domains, but in February and January there were more than 140 of them.
