The Logo.com domain was purchased for half a million.

Logo.com purchased the domain name of the same name for $500,000 on the Sedo online auction site. Logo.com specializes in logo design and other services for both large and small businesses. Logo.com also offers business card creation, letterhead design, and printing services.

Logo.com also plans to begin registering domain names. The company's website, using the new domain name, is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2011.

Explaining its acquisition, Logo.com claims the investment will help it attract customers from search engines. Furthermore, the company promises to translate the website into multiple languages.

Logo.com's $500,000 price tag made it the eleventh most expensive domain name of 2010. The largest deal so far in 2010 is the acquisition of Slots.com for $5.5 million. A deal for Sex.com is also expected – for $13 million.
