The TEL domain will allow registration of names in Russian.

Starting June 15th of this year, .TEL domain registrations will be available in Russian, as well as other national languages. These include Chinese, Danish, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Russian, and several others.

There is no procedure for reserving names for domains in the .TEL zone. Names can be reserved using a special registration form for internationalized domains.

As a reminder, March marked the first anniversary of domain name registrations in this zone. Russia and Ukraine are among the top countries where this domain is particularly popular.
