The administrator of the European Union domain EU, Eurid, announced that the number of names registered in .EU has exceeded 3.5 million.

The domain achieved this milestone in its five years of existence. As a reminder, the domain's fifth anniversary was celebrated inearly April of this yearAt that time, there were 3.4 million domain names registered in the domain.

In the first month since the start of registrations, 1.7 million names were registered in the .EU domain.

Today, the .EU domain ranks fifth among national domain zones, behind the DE domain (Germany) - 14.7 million registrations, UK (Great Britain) - 9 million names, NL (Netherlands) - 4.7 million names, and the Russian RU domain - 3.6 million names.

At the beginning of the year, registrants from Bulgaria, Estonia, and Romania showed particularly strong interest in the domain. Registration growth for .EU was 78%, higher than the industry average.
