The .CO domain zone will soon reach its half-millionth domain.

The .CO domain extension, an alternative to the popular .COM, is experiencing record registration rates. The half-millionth domain registered in this domain extension will soon be registered. Recently, the number of domains registered here reached 470,000.

As a reminder, open registration in this domain zone only began this summer. By early August, the number of registered names had exceeded 300,000, and two and a half weeks after open registration began, it had reached 400,000.

This rate of registration of names in the .CO zone allows us to predict that the first million domains will appear here in less than a year from the start of free registration.
