The names of Russian politicians cannot be used in the .РФ domain.

The names of leading Russian politicians cannot be used when registering domains in the Cyrillic .РФ zone. These domain names are included in a so-called stoplist. For example, users will not be able to register the domains "Putin.РФ" or "Medvedev.РФ."

It has not yet been reported which names have been retained on this stop list, and it is also not yet known how long this list will be valid.

Mikhail Yakushev, Chairman of the Coordination Center, believes that the validity of such a stop list should be limited to the politician's tenure in government.
