There is a perception that investors in some of the companies operating in this market either do not understand the significance of the changes introduced, or that the change in share prices has already occurred during the process of negotiating the New gTLD program.

Shares of Top Level Domain Holding, one of the registration market leaders, have fallen by 4% recently. Shares of Web.com, the owner of Register.com, rose no more than 1%, while shares of registrars Neustar and VeriSign remained virtually unchanged.
