GoDaddy offers .CO domain registrations

GoDaddy has made the .CO domain extension the default domain offered when registering new domain names. The service's administration explained its decision by citing a shortage of .COM domains for everyone. Therefore, GoDaddy has now set the new .CO domain extension as the default.

Of course, the registrar's clients can register domain names from the .COM domain zone, it is simply not used as the default domain.

While .CO domains are currently more expensive, the registration methods and registrar requirements are the same as for the .COM domain.

Free registration of domain names in the .CO zone began recently, but this domain zone has already become recognizable and popular.

After some time, GoDaddy registrar returned the .COM domain as the default, the .CO domain was used during a short test period, but during this time the number of registrations in .CO increased.
