The company's core business is domain name registration, but GoDaddy also operates a domain auction. The company has not previously released information regarding its domain auction.
GoDaddy sold 109,000 domain names in the second quarter of 2011, according to the company's first-ever report.
Interestingly, the total number of transactions on GoDaddy is higher than on the most famous domain auction Sedo, which sold only 10 thousand domains in the second quarter of 2011.
The most expensive domain was UpCloud.com, which was purchased for $100,000. Crowd.com ($62,500) and colorware.com ($55,000) also made the top three.
