Google received rights to the domain youtube.ua

Google has acquired the rights to the youtube.ua domain. Until recently, the domain belonged to a private individual. Back in the summer of 2011, Google announced it would attempt to gain control of the youtube.ua domain, and in the final days of 2011, the company succeeded.

As a reminder, Google engaged in lengthy legal battles in Ukraine over the google.ua domain. After several years of legal proceedings, Google was able to gain control of the domain. Currently, the google.ua domain redirects users to the Google search engine, accessible at google.com.ua.

The youtube.ua domain does not yet host any content; the site displays a message stating that this domain name is registered and protected.
