Google failed to win the Oogle.com domain.

Google failed to win the oogle.com domain name in court. The US National Arbitration Forum ruled against Google, despite representatives of the largest internet search engine calling the domain owner a cybersquatter who misuses the domain, including for hosting pornography.

The owner of the oogle.com domain registered it in 1999 and listed his organization as the registrant in 2004. Google representatives attempted to argue that registering the domain in 2004, when the world's largest search engine was well-known, constituted cybersquatting.

During the hearing, the national arbitration forum found that the domain was not registered with malicious intent and was being used in bad faith.

Interestingly, the owner of the oogle.com domain had previously won cases against Google over other domains he owned - groovle.com and goggle.com.
