Google failed to obtain Groovle's domain.

Google filed a lawsuit against the Canadian company 207 Media, which owns the search engine Groovle.com. Google's main complaint was that the Groovle search engine's domain name was too similar to Google's.

In addition, Google requested that the Groovle.com domain name be transferred to it.

The National Arbitration Forum dismissed Google's lawsuit. The judges explained their decision by citing that the Groovle.com system had been in operation for over two and a half years, during which time Google had not received any complaints.

Google has previously been involved in 65 domain name disputes. In 63 of them, Google won the domain name dispute; the Groovle case is only the second time the company has lost.
