Google is migrating its internal networks to IPv6.

Google is migrating all communications across its global offices to the new IPv6 Internet Protocol.

The company views this transition as a change in its overall communications processes. Google believes these processes will affect all employees, including senior management, and is prepared to face the challenges.

This process will be a continuation of Google's transition to a new protocol, which began back in 2008. At that time, a number of the company's internal network nodes were migrated to the new version of the protocol.

Google announced that it has already exhausted its existing pool of IPv4 addresses. Therefore, the only option now is to switch to the new IPv6 protocol.

Google has more than 200 offices worldwide and employs approximately 30,000 people.
