Google plans to expand its Finnish data center

Google is preparing to invest another 150 million euros in expanding its Finnish data center. This will double the size of the data center. Google plans to complete the entire project within a year and a half.

Google opened a data center in Finland last September. The cost of the new data center was €200 million.

The data center premises previously housed a company producing printing paper. One of the data center's unique features is the cooling of servers using water and open air.

Experts note that many market players want to have data centers closer to Russia and its market, but few of them want to open data centers in Russia itself.
