Google is under attack in China and is threatening to shut down its business.

Google was hit by a massive attack from China, resulting in the hacking of several Gmail accounts. While the company has to repel such attacks from time to time, their frequency has recently increased, and their method of execution raises concerns about the significant infrastructure involved in their development.

Along with Google, more than 20 other major IT companies were attacked. Adobe also confirmed the attacks.

Google announced it would stop filtering its search results, recognizing that its decision could lead to the closure of its search engine in the country. As a reminder, filtering search results is a requirement for doing business in the country. In China, displaying full information on certain queries, such as those related to the Tianjin Square events, is prohibited.

Analysts believe that Google's closure in China will benefit its main competitor, Baidu, which, incidentally, is still the leader in the country's search market.
