Google helped HTC in its battle against Apple

Google has sold several patents to Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC that it could use in its lawsuit against Apple.

The amount HTC paid for Google's patents is unknown. Google transferred nine smartphones to HTC in total. Thanks to these, the company filed a second lawsuit against Apple, accusing it of patent infringement in the production of its devices, namely Mac computers, iPhones, iPods, iPads, iTunes, and iCloud.

Google, in turn, received these patents from Motorola, Palm, and Openwave Systems.

As a reminder, patent disputes between HTC and Apple have been ongoing since last year. Apple has accused the Taiwanese manufacturer several times.in patent infringement,HTC filed counterclaims.

If we recall the serious confrontation between Apple and Samsung, which has already led to a ban on the sale of devices of the South Korean companyin a number of European countries, then all these lawsuits and disputes can be called a confrontation between two mobile operating systems – Android and iOS.
