Google takes over the Android.me domain
Google has secured the rights to the Android.me domain name. It's unclear whether the company purchased the domain from its previous owners or obtained it through domain arbitration.
Experts believe the company will not use the Android.me domain for another project, but will simply set up a redirect from the main android.com website.
.ME domains are actively used by large companies for their resources. In total, the Montenegrin .ME domain hasmore than half a million names.
Google previously acquired the Plus.ME domain, which it planned to use for the Google+ social network.
