Hosting.UA published an explanation of the fire incident.

Let us remind you that this weekend in the data center of the company "Hosting.UA"a fire broke out, which resulted in damage to the company's servers.

Many websites hosted on Hosting.UA platforms are now unavailable. Today, the company released an official explanation for the incident on its website.

The project's administration reports that the fire damaged the equipment used by the company to provide services to clients. Therefore, the company is currently unable to properly fulfill its contractual obligations.

The Company considers the fire a force majeure event for the Company, with the corresponding consequences provided for and arising from Article 617 of the Civil Code of Ukraine. The Company will notify its clients separately when this force majeure event ceases to apply to the Company.

The company's specialists are currently working to ensure that all virtual hosting data remains on undamaged backup servers. The second data center location, scheduled for launch in the third quarter of 2010, is currently online.
